YEAH.....YEAH, THE LITTLE DARLINGS.
They give so much back to us, say those who have them.
INSIGHT INTO A PERFECT MOUNTAIN FAMILY DAY WITH US AT THE GLEMMTALERHOF
They nurture us, show us limits and sometimes infuriate us.
In this point, at least, everyone is probably at one, parents as well as non-parents.
So, dear adult you will most certainly have experiences through them. And it’s all the same whether you bring children yourself to the Glemmtalerhof or if you just choose to view them in wonder at a neighbouring table. You will endure the one true answer to the ever recurring “child on holiday“ cliché question – “When will we be there....?“
Here. Now. Right in the moment.
No yesterday. No tomorrow. Only today.
Your holiday. Your time. Your life.
Your kids? A warm welcome.
8 am - FAMILY BREAKFAST
Back at the hotel, the aroma of fresh bread and coffee entices us straight to the breakfast table. Although the chive bread on the mountain was particularly delicious, the children rush to the breakfast chef and look forward to fresh pancakes with blueberry jam.9.30 am - MONTELINO’S WILD ANIMAL FEEDING
Our youngest has great fun together with all the other guest children at the Kid’s Club. Today they are especially looking forward to it, because there is a trip by Kohlmais cable car to the wildlife feeding at the animal enclosure. The deer and stags are so close! Furthermore, the nanny even has a packed lunch with her for a picnic on the mountain.10 am - MOUNTAIN BIKE TOUR ON THE REITERKOGELL
Our youthful son is in need of more action, so he has hooked up with Dad in the morning sporting troop. Today, the sports supervisor is starting a bike-tour to Wetterkreuz and back through the downhill route into the valley – pure adrenalin. The lift rides are free of charge, thanks to the JOKER CARD, and the initial metres in altitude can be overcome quite comfortably.11 am - NORDIC WALKING ALONG THE PANORAMIC HIGH TRAIL
As the rest of the family is well provided for today, I’m treating myself to a wellness day! I’m hiring a pair of Nordic walking poles at reception; the manager is so friendly and shows me the panoramic high trail on the hiking map and how to reach the Reiterkogel midway station by cable car. Having power walked as far as Sonnhof, I allow myself to truly savour the milky coffee and fresh apricot cake. Following a spot of sunbathing and a light refreshment at Hochalm water reservoir, it’s time to head back down into the valley – I can’t possibly miss my beauty appointment!3 pm - ROOF TERRACE – HERE I COME
After a blissfully relaxing massage, I’m now looking forward to a sunbath on the roof terrace to wind down. The view up here is simply sensational. It looks like my gripping crime thriller won’t just be coming from the wellness basket....4 pm - EVERYONE’S BACK AGAIN!
My husband and the kids are back at the hotel now and are famished. For afternoon snacking, there is ham, cheese and toast – just the right refreshment after such an active day.5 pm - FEEL-GOOD TIME AT THE HOTEL
The children are still bursting with energy – straight into the cool water! The mountain lake at the hotel is a true gem – and how many hotels also have a swimming pool on the top floor?! My husband wants to relieve the looming aching muscles in his legs with a sauna session, and tiredness has overcome me somewhat after such a long day – so a nap on the roof terrace sounds much more appealing.7.30 pm - DINNER TIME!
The chef surprises us time and again – today, with a delicious grill buffet, for example. The tempting aroma of freshly grilled delicacies makes our stomachs rumble, and once again the team really thought of everything – even freshly squeezed carrot juice at the salad buffet!9 pm - HINTERGLEMM MARKET EVENING
After the delicious evening meal our eyes are feeling rather heavy, so we decide to call it a day and turn in – it was a long, but lovely day! We’ll postpone the Hinterglemm Market Evening until next week – we had to make a firm promise of that to our children!
AND WHEN WILL YOU BE THERE?
